Family Planning
Family Planning
Our Family Planning Services are designed to support individuals in making informed choices about their reproductive health. We offer confidential services including birth control options, pregnancy testing, emergency contraception, and free condom distribution. Our goal is to provide education, resources, and care that help individuals plan for healthy families and prevent unintended pregnancies. Services are available to all individuals regardless of income, insurance status, or age. Our goal is to provide respectful, supportive care in a safe environment. Contact us to schedule an appointment or learn more.
Birth Control Options
We offer three safe and effective birth control methods:
– DEPO-Provera (The Shot): An injectable form of birth control that’s given every 3 months. It’s a convenient option for those who prefer not to take a daily pill.
– Combined Oral Contraceptives (The Pill): A daily pill that contains both estrogen and progestin. This method helps regulate periods, reduce cramps, and prevent pregnancy when taken consistently.
– Progestin-Only Pills (Mini-Pill): A daily pill that contains only progestin, recommended for individuals who may not be able to take estrogen- based birth control.
Our staff can help you decide which method is best for your health and lifestyle.
Pregnancy Testing
We provide confidential pregnancy testing with quick results and guidance on your next steps, whether you are planning for pregnancy or exploring your options.
Available at all WEDCO locations in Scott, Harrison, and Nicholas counties.
Condom Distribution
Free condoms are available to help reduce the risk of both pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs). No appointment is necessary.
Emergency Contraception
Emergency contraception is available to help prevent pregnancy after unprotected sex or contraceptive failure (such as a broken condom or missed pills). The sooner it’s taken, the more effective it is, ideally within 72 hours. Our clinic provides emergency contraception in a private, supportive setting, and no appointment is needed. If you have questions or need help understanding your options, our team is here to assist you.
