Community Health Promotion

Our goal is to empower citizens of all ages to lead healthier lifestyles and to advocate for stronger, healthier and safer communities.

We provide comprehensive health education programs utilizing the Best Practice guidelines. The programs consist of planned learning experiences which will assist one to achieve desirable outcomes, attitudes and practices related to critical health issues. Our topics include: nutrition, physical activity, tobacco prevention and cessation, teen pregnancy prevention and sexually transmitted disease. In addition, our resource library has videos and curriculum available for loan on numerous health topics.

Health Educators are strategically housed in each local health department to mobilize communities toward healthier choices.
